Gestalt therapy training

This program has been implemented at the Moscow Institute of Gestalt Therapy and Consulting since 1998 and is a unified program of professional training for gestalt therapists (levels 1 + 2), which is carried out for 3 years.
It was developed on the basis of the corresponding programs of the French Institute of Gestalt Therapy and the F. Perls Institute (Germany), and is approved by the European Association of Gestalt Therapy.
According to the standards of EAGT, a Gestalt therapist is a person who, in addition to basic education, has completed at least 600 hours of Gestalt therapy training, at least 150 hours of personal therapy and 150 hours of supervised work.
Upon completion, a certificate is issued, recognized by the European Association for Gestalt Therapy (EAGT).
The program invites: psychologists, doctors, students of medical institutes and psychological faculties, teachers, social workers, as well as those who are interested in self-discovery and personal growth.

OLEG NEMIRINSKY – PhD in Psychology, Member of the Board of the European Association of Gestalt Therapy (EAGT), Rector of MIGT&C. A psychotherapist with more than 20 years of experience, an inspired teacher and supervisor.

VALERY PATONYCH – psychotherapist, teacher at the Moscow Institute of Gestalt Therapy and Consulting, head of the online centre for psychological assistance, author of a rehabilitation and social adaptation program for clients with eating disorders.

WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM INCLUDE?

Combining the scientific and the therapeutic process

The program combines educational and therapeutic processes and includes:

  • 671 academic hours of professional training (325 hours of thematic group sessions of the program, 80 hours of therapeutic practice, 130 hours of intensive work, 40 hours of participation in the conference, 96 hours of lectures)
  • 1150 academic hours of supervision (80 hours of work in a regular supervisory group, 27 hours in an intensive supervisory group, 27 hours as part of a certification session, 11 hours of personal supervision at a summer intensive, 5 hours of individual supervision)
  • 160 hours of personal therapy (60 hours with one of the recommended Gestalt therapists (9 hours of individual intensive therapy can be included), 42 hours by the client in small therapy groups, 40 hours of group therapy as part of the program, 18 hours of intensive group therapy).

HOW THE THERAPY TRAINING IS ORGANISED

THE STRUCTURE OF THE PROGRAM

During the training, you will get acquainted with the theoretical foundations and methodological principles of Gestalt therapy, the history of its development, with various schools and directions, as well as the differences between Gestalt therapy and other directions in psychotherapy.

In the program you will explore various areas of application of gestalt therapy, strategies for dealing with various psychological difficulties. This Program is practice-oriented. From your own experience you will master the methodological techniques and techniques of psychological consulting, psychocorrection and psychotherapy in the gestalt approach.

The program includes 15 thematic three-day seminars:

Topic 1. Philosophical, biological and psychological prerequisites for gestalt therapy.
Topic 2. Theory of contact in gestalt therapy.
Topic 3. The integrative nature of Gestalt therapy.
Topic 4. Therapy as creativity.
Topic 5. Strategy and tactics of therapeutic work.
Topic 6. The relationship of gestalt therapy with other psychotherapeutic approaches. Problems of gestalt therapy theory.
Topic 7. The corporal process in gestalt therapy.
Topic 8. Principles of clinical application of gestalt therapy. Dealing with neurotic disorders.
Topic 9. Gestalt therapy of psychosomatic disorders. Body functioning in life and psychotherapy.
Topic 10. Psychology and psychotherapy of addictive behaviour.
Topic 11. Psychological assistance for affective and psychotic disorders.
Topic 12. Therapeutic relationship. Psychoanalysis and Gestalt Therapy.
Topic 13. Dialogue.
Topic 14. Technique of therapeutic intervention. Supervision in gestalt therapy.
Topic 15. Working with children and families in gestalt therapy.

One 3-day workshop is held every 1.5 – 2 months on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The cost of one three-day session is 100 euros.
