Depression is a mental disorder characterized by low mood, decreased energy potential, and inability to enjoy life.
Anxiety-depressive disorder is characterized by an unreasonable sense of fear, low mood and performance.
Chronic fatigue syndrome appears after severe overwork and it is expressed by physical and psychological weakness, absent-mindedness and inattention.

Therapy of depressive disorders and chronic fatigue syndrome

Therapy of depression and anxiety-depressive disorders is carried out on an outpatient basis, but if the psychotherapist sees that the outpatient program is not enough, then we recommend the client an online day care. For treatment we use psychotherapeutic methods and medications (antidepressants), which are selected by the doctor individually in each case. Acute conditions are relieved by medications. We concentrate mostly on psychotherapeutic methods, with the help of which the client works out his deep personal attitudes, resolves his internal and sometimes external conflicts. The goal of psychotherapy in dealing with these disorders is to increase resistance to stress and adaptability. We teach also the client, in the course of therapy, to use techniques of autogenous training and relaxation, so that in the future while arising of the tension the person could cope with it by himself.
In order to get rid of chronic fatigue syndrome, it may be enough to take a vacation for 2 weeks, go somewhere and just have a good rest, sleep, get new impressions, without worrying about anything during this period. But if you are just back from vacation, and the rest did not help, and your condition only gets worse, we recommend you to consult a specialist. In our centre, chronic fatigue is treated on an outpatient basis using psychotherapeutic sessions.

Symptoms of Depressive Disorders and Chronic Fatigue

Anyone can suffer from depressive disorders, but mostly women in the age after 30 are susceptible to them. Ignoring of the following symptoms can lead to worsening of the condition. This can result in a complete inability to maintain social contacts and to live normal life.

We recommend you to contact a psychotherapist if you experience the following things:

  • stable low mood
  • powerlessness, fatigue, inability to concentrate
  • unreasonable anxiety
  • no feeling of pleasure from the things that you enjoyed before
  • excessive self-criticism, feelings of guilt
  • feeling of hopelessness, thoughts about death or suicide as getting rid of all problems at once
  • unstable emotions (irritability, which can be replaced by complete indifference to everything)

Chronic fatigue syndrome appears against a background of constant stress, but it can also be a consequence of a previous infectious or viral disease. Since this condition is not expressed by acute symptoms, there is a great temptation not to go anywhere and to wait until it passes by itself. This can only make the problem worse. But you do not have to diagnose yourself on the basis of the symptoms below. To making a diagnosis you have to consult a specialist.

You may have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome if you feel:

  • constant weakness
  • you have often headache
  • you cannot concentrate on the task that you have set before yourself
  • you have a low mood, nervousness, irascibility
  • difficulty falling asleep and waking up
  • early awakening with late falling asleep
  • restless, poor sleep.

Prevention and precautions
